Sweet Baby Dreams Aromatherapy Dream Pillows
In a nutshell, my son would not sleep! Looking back, I remember
the frustrations of getting my son to go to sleep faster and
sleep longer. There were nights when he would sleep in his swing
with it swinging - thank goodness for battery powered
swings! - because he would just not go to sleep without being
rocked. I was so
sleep deprived and irritable that it was driving the family
crazy. I had to do
something to get some sleep!!
I had read somewhere that certain scents helped a person get to
sleep, so I began
to research Aromatherapy. Lavender and Chamomile were
scientifically proven
scents to aid in sleep. Being the skeptic that I am, I had to
see if it really worked, so
I bought some lavender and an oil burner and gave it to a friend
of mine for a week to test the theory. She was amazed at how
quickly she fell asleep each night and so,
the theory passed the test!
Now all I had to do
was figure out a way to incorporate the scents into my son's
room. That's when inspiration struck! With safety being my
number one concern,
I created a tiny pillow scented with lavender made with all
natural materials.
I searched for the perfect blend of lavender essential and
fragrance oil, as I had read that pure essential lavender oil
had the possibility of being harmful to baby's soft
skin. I then found cuddly soft material of flannel and found
100% organic cotton
stuffing and dusted off my sewing machine and went at it. The
size of the pillow had
to be small enough to be safe to put in his bed, but large
enough and soft enough
for him to grab a hold of. A few hours and a couple of design
changes later, Arizona (pictured above and below) at 6 months
old was the first to own a Sweet Baby

Did It
Work?
He was asleep
within 15 minutes that very first night! He did wake up for his
regular overnight feedings, but getting him back to sleep was
much easier. He even slept in until 8:00 A.M.! Now at age 4 he
is still going to bed at 7:30pm!
I
Had To Be Sure
I had been using the dream pillow with Arizona for several
months with great
success and I was eager to find if it would work for other
children. Thinking I may
have stumbled - literally, from lack of sleep - onto something
useful for other
parents, I decided to ask a few friends their opinions. I
created 10 extra Dream
Pillows and shared them with my friends who had babies and
toddlers to test for
one month. I was so happy to hear at the end of the month how
well they helped
their children! The children went to bed sooner and slept better
and were in better moods throughout the day. All we could think
was "Wow!". They urged me to share this invention with every
family suffering from sleep deprivation like we were. So,

4 year old! I firmly attribute their intellectual success to
them getting enough rest!

I have to say I've been quite blessed by the sleep deprivation
my Arizona put me through. I've been able to offer a product so
unique, cost effective and helpful to so many parents who have
babies and toddlers with sleep problems. My husband
helps get the word out to local businesses, Savannah is my
fashion coordinator
and she helps me choose fabrics that are fashion forward and
suitable for babies
and Arizona still has me make a dream pillow for him when new
designs come out
and he is my faithful tester, making sure the pillows smell just
right before they are shipped to the next baby! I do everything
else including cutting, sewing, stuffing, ordering, shipping and
the books. I wouldn't trade it for anything and we hope to
